Let me first say Happy Sepandarmazgan ❤️ day of love, women, and land. This day is an ancient occasion with Zoroastrian roots that are known to be the day of love, women, affection, and earth.
Persian Valentine’s day ????
Barbari is arguably the most popular and common bread, am I right my Persian family? ????????
This is my take on a dish now commonly known as French Toast.
Here is how for the first time I made a sweet dish ???? and came up with a name like this, Lost Barbari.
I was asked to be part of a live Persian / Farsi speaking channel @manotoofficial to celebrate this beautiful day and to cook something a dish that would almost represent this day of love.

History ????????????
Here is where it all ties back into French toast ????????. So French Toast was named after a gentleman whose name was Joseph French. Hmm but here is the interesting fact, French toast isn’t really French at all. Back in the day, way back to the roman empire ages, this technique was created by cooks and families to revive stale or old bread. Simply because the food was not easily accessible so every bit counted. Dipping old bread in milk and eggs is recorded to be from the Roman empire so I guess French Toast is Italian ???????? ????. It was commonly known as lost Bread so I thought ….. Bingo.
Actually, Persians use old, stale, and or dried bread in man dishes even today. I mean the roman empire, the Persian empire the greeks…back in the day I’m sure they all had a lot of influence on each other.????‍♂️????
Dish ????????????????????????
I created this twist because I wanted something that challenged me, so I made something sweet. I wanted creativity and uniqueness so I incorporated out beloved Barbari ????????. I wanted freshness and colors that represent love, nature a celebration so I picked berries and more importantly Pomegranates. I didn’t come up with this concept but what I tried to do is take a great concept and make it my own. Represent our culture and more importantly incorporate ingredients and flavors that remind us of our rich cuisine.

امروز مهمانه برنامه خیلی خوب منو و تو بودم که ی غذای جالب و خوشمزه که جدیدن ترند شده به اسمه فتا پاستا درست کنم.انواه دستورعملهای این غزه را در تیک تاک و یا اینستاگرام حتما دیدن. زیاد وقت نمیگیره , خوشمزه هستش و تقریبا غذای خیلی سالمی. امیدوارم که خوشتون بیاد. در ویدئو بدی همین غذارو من دوباره درست میکنم واکی با طعمه ایرانی . حتمن ببینید .
